Packing statues

Packing statues properly can be quite a challenge, especially intricately detailed pieces that may easily chip or break. There is no one way to securely wrap statues and methods may vary depending on size, shape and material. If you have an expensive and very fragile statue, we would recommend that you seek the help of a professional from a moving company or an art gallery to help you properly protect your item for transit.

You can use bubble wrap to protect small statues that will fit inside a box. You can also place the statue, as is, in a box and cover it with a thick layer of padding or packing paper. If your padding is thick enough, you can add several small statues to a single box. Just make sure to pack your boxes with enough padding that the statues will not shift when the boxes are moved. Fill the remaining area of the box with packing peanuts or paper balls and make sure to mark the box “FRAGILE” once it is sealed.
