Special Moving has been in business for three years. After many years of working for some of the larger moving companies, we decided there was need for a smaller moving company that could provide personalized customer service to every customer. Our professional moving and relocation staff is trained to give accurate moving quotes, to help you plan your move, to move your belongings with care and to satisfy your every moving need.

License and Insurance

Special Moving is fully insured with General Liability Insurance for $1,000,000.00. We also provide a certificate of insurance to apartment buildings that require it.

Special Moving maintains a great record with the Department of Transportation USDOT#1555144 & MC#577334. Special Moving is also a proud member of American Moving & Storage (AMSA). We encourage our clients to check our record.

Price Structure

We believe that every customer has the right to fully understand the total cost of their move before they choose their moving company. Unfortunately, many moving companies provide unrealistically low quotes for their services and then find ways to adjust the price on the day of the move. Many customers learn too late that their actual cost will be hundreds if not thousands of dollars more than they had

Special Moving conducts exhaustive inventory interviews either in the home or on the telephone. The price quoted is the price the customer pays.

Our Trucks
Special Moving prides itself on its new fleet of state of the art vehicles. We maintain a fleet of fully equipped modern, oversized, “air-ride” suspension trucks. “Air-ride” suspension gives the smoothest ride on the road which helps ensure that your belongings arrive at the destination in good condition. Our 27 foot International trucks have almost double the capacity of the standard 24 foot moving truck due to the extra width and the cargo box above the driver’s cab.

Our trucks are clean, radio equipped, and properly maintained. They are equipped with hydraulic lift gates as well as ramps that ease loading and unloading which helps to protect your items during transfer. We also carry an assortment of furniture dollies, furniture pads, hand trucks, and special straps to secure and protect your goods while in route.
