Packing small appliances
When packing small appliances such as toaster ovens, mixers or coffee makers, try to use the original boxes. If you have the original boxes, pack several smaller boxes into a larger box, for additional ease and protection.
If you no longer have the original packaging, use a dish box lined with paper balls to provide cushioning. Place the appliances in the center of the box and separate items using small sheets of cardboard. Then, insert additional padding on the sides and the top of the box before sealing. Boxes containing electrical components should be marked as “FRAGILE” to avoid damage from being stacked under heavier boxes.
